Joss Richard's story was day 8 and like how flipping cute is this childhood friends reconnect years later ON CHRISTMAS!?!

Just finished up story 7 and that one was easily one of my favorites - ADORABLE CUTE YES

Okay up to day 5 - love that the first spicy story was the gay men. Also they're adorable how clearly they've liked each other for years and just got confused if the other one likes the other. If that makes sense

Okay part 4 was a like "meet cute" and while I wanted to know more of their story, it was absolutely adorable!

I am now on day 4! The second story was decently cute, albeit felt a little rushed. Day 3 was absolutely adorable toooo.

Finished day 1- adorable, they're so cute! Couldn't figure out the Abby situation despite knowing they definitely were not dating lol. Five stars 🤩

Unfortunately, I'm making the executive decision to DNF this one at 45%. I originally read more from my last update because there were some interesting things happening with the dynamic in the communities, however now I still have an issue with the narration being a monotonous telling of events and her see-saw relationship with her sister. I'm struggling to push through so I'm putting it down.

I'm struggling to care about this book - the plot is interesting enough and it's yet somehow an impersonal look into her succession as the new Prime. I think the thing that I'm struggling with is that it is told in 3rd person, but it is a very monotonous telling of the events and therefore I feel removed from the story. Potential DNF - we shall see.

Um so I also love this one - both characters are so layered!

Definitely reading this one slowly, but still enjoyable.

Idk... I like the characters and I'm enjoying the book, but I'm just not invested?? Not soft DNF yet but maybe.

Okay so I'm gonna soft DNF this one. I can't get into it and think maybe it's a writing style thing for me? Also the time jumps are super discombobulating... And not great for building a relationship when you haven't established anything besides attraction to begin with.

IDK what page I'm on but I'm loving Harriet and Nolan! Perfect combination of tension and banter.

Currently Beta Reading a book and struggling through it unfortunately, it was not what I was expecting at all.

I feel like I'm finally getting to the point where I can fully enjoy the Crescent City storylines because this book has so many more insightful conversations and details than the first. I also have a love-hate relationship with how things are being breadcrumbed throughout because I feel like I'm going to get slapped in the face towards the end lol.
