This book is perfect for my current study level, filling in gaps in my knowledge and opening new avenues.

All good. I like the layout with English and Japanese. Nice to have black and white photographs to let the text shine bright. Too short. There must be more! Looking forward to Volume II.

Happy I found this book as it fills in a gap in my research on events occurring when Japan's Tokugawa era opened the country and foreigners began to visit.

This book is a great read for a deeper understanding of Buddhist thought that has resulted from the continuing development of the principles Buddha introduced with the Four Noble Truths.

I have more to read..... 7/7/16 - the more I read, the more I reread. I will pick this book up the rest of my life to remind myself of the turning of the celestial spheres.
