Remember that song “What if God was one of us? Just a stranger on the bus?” It was so bad that I completely wrote off the premise and never considered the question again until I started reading this book.
Unlike the song, this book is a masterpiece (so far).
What if the embodiment of that which we regard as ultimately and transcendently Good walked among us? We would treat him like shit! Sad but instructive!!
