Finished Degas and Cassatt: The Dance of Solitude Graphic Novel which isn't on Goodreads... so my reading goal is kinda incorrect now on here. I've now finished 2/6 books for my reading challenge goal.

Right now it’s sad how Portia’s family treats her because of the affair her father had with her mother. Her own brother is even trying to act like he cares for her when he doesn’t. She’s only staying with him due to his obligation to his father.

I adore the book so far! I love the banter between Rad and Audrey and the little suspense over not knowing the lie Audrey told that supposedly led to Ana’s death.

There’s some nice foreshadowing going on that I’m liking as well. The fact the story just jumped right into the action and didn’t waste time with a lengthy build up was refreshing for me.

The book is now changing POV’s a lot and I’m not too terribly pleased. It’s taking everything in me not to put the book down. I honestly feel like the story is over. We’re not focused on Emilia right now or Julius, just the other 2D flat and boring characters who were touched by Julius in a moving way before his death. Some characters have potential to be better if fleshed out more.

Seems like something strange may happen. I’m very curious as to whether or not Rebecca is Emilia’s mom since her mom’s name wasn’t mentioned in the prologue or chapter 1. I also wonder if Rebecca may end up the same way Rebecca in Daphne de Maurice’s book of the same name did. So many questions yet no answers yet, only implications foreshadowing.

Ok I thought we’d be following Emilia after Julius died but it seems the author is letting us spend more time with him which I am so happy about! I can’t wait to read chapter 2 now.

Very wonderfully written! Better than I expected. I already feel so bad for Emilia and I hate what happened to Julius since we’ve only just met him.

Very good, the author really set the tone well and I’m anticipating reading chapter 2 next when I have time.
