You’d think this is a first draft with all the pointless shit that needs to be cut, the poor pacing, and the insufferability + repetitiveness of the main character.

Considering DNFing this one. I’m listening to the audiobook and at over 3 hours (of 9) in, it’s been pointless. Majority should’ve been cut. Why did I need to hear about the cat’s protein intake? The “Edith’s house” take has been beaten to death. I just want to scream “THE BITCH IS DEAD!” The MC is insufferable and if the plot doesn’t pick up soon, I’m going to quit.
