This book is a grand canyon of words. At 30 percent I've read 236 pages. The start was iffy but once past that, wow. I'm almost positive this will be an add for my list, "In A League of One's Own.". In today's world the art of purple prose is considered negative, but isn't that writing? Gonna take me some time to get through this mammoth "door stopper", and also because this year is my "no rush" reading year.

Wordy but I'm liking it, even though all the characters in this book are wretched.

My new Oprah style reading glasses coincidently matches my current read. I have been looking forward to Wally Lamb's new book for a long time and finally here I go.

I really want to read this as the subject means a lot to me. Just gonna shelf it awhile.

My first read on Kindle. With the cost of books and my ever growing addiction, this might be my new thing.
