Starts in a good place even doubters must understand: PTSD of veterans. Then follows with something else that can't be argued against, childhood rape victims. I appreciate that this might be able to connect with the otherwise heartless.

We really need to stop writing books that romanticize women not having choices in men, getting stuck with the worst of the worst and being happy with less than bare minimum. As someone who grew up with books, it's not a good example. I want us to expect better.

I'm already disgusted by the double standard of the men who can't keep their dicks in their pants and the women who "betray" them to the point of death if they sleep with someone else. Fking Geralt trying to sleep with every Lodge member while being "in love."

I'm absolutely disgusted. None of this has been sexy as NONE OF IT HAS BEEN CONSENSUAL. That's not BDSM, that's just rape. It reminds me entirely too much of Tumblr "doms" who have nothing but ego and have no respect.

I don't know if I can handle the audiobook's male voice! It sounds like a voice changer, and it's so jarring.

I'm trying so hard to see what other people see in this series, but it's honestly so dull. I cannot wait to be done.
