A bit disturbing to read while fighting a lingering cold for 3 weeks…

Audiobook narrator is having a field day with this one

At the golf cart I sit. And sit. And sit. Then 30 minutes later I repeat the loop again. Every 30 minutes. So I’ve decided to use the 19 hours I will be working this weekend as an intense reading immersion experience. Please pray for my sanity.

Then I return back to my break room (the Wenatchee Wild golf cart) where I’ve stashed a comically large and over-packed tote bag that carries enough random stuff to keep me supplied and entertained for at least a solid 3 days (just in case).

The ENTIRE SHIFT consisted of: walking one loop around the concourse, stopping in all of the women’s bathrooms to ensure they are clean (they always are-this is a men’s basketball tournament), and checking to make sure none of the trash cans are full (they never are-there are like MAYBE 50 people in the stands).

This is a multi part update on my current reading setting. Goodreads has a 400 word max so bear with me. Last night during my 7 hour shift at the rink, I accidentally finished the last 100 pages of my book around 8pm (2.5 hours before my shift was done).

It took me like 50 pages to realize this is set in Maine and not Oregon. Hoe can you pick Portland and Salem as your main locations and then set it in Maine🤨
