My new game is to go to the library website and filter audiobooks by available now and most popular and pick one from the top. This one started out okay but at 24% I’m getting a little bored. Nothing is happening. Just wandering around and talking and cheap tricks “a heavy thud landed on my shoulders and something sharp duh into my side.”

I’m so annoyed with this book. I don’t like Elizabeth. Maddie is implausible. It’s not funny.

I don’t know if I can finish. This keeps happening… maybe it’s a problem with audiobooks? Maybe if feel different if it weren’t the tones the narrators take? This one sounds perpetually annoyed and snooty so that might be coloring my opinion.

I don’t know how much more of this I can take. The main character’s are basically have on one emotional note each and they just circle each other repeating the snake behavior in slightly different circumstances . Both of them behave like melodramatic preteens. Ugh.

I usually finish a book this size in a few days but this one is a slog. I just do not care.

So many problems in this book could be conveniently solved by the characters listening to each other. Everyone is TSTL

Stopped somewhere seeping 60 percent

It’s written well enough but the story isn’t interesting to me.

Might not continue. The writing is fun but the main character to too too dumb and lots of grammar are spelling issues

Please tell me all the husbands are vampires and have to be killed at the end
