This book is very well-written and compelling, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to continue reading this book - it's giving me anxiety. For sure I can't read it at bedtime anymore. I should have paid more attention to the horror genre tag, but I was fooled into thinking it wouldn't be that scary by "Southern Book Club" and the peachy cover.

I've decided to start a collection of Everyman's Library Children's Classics, and this is my first. I'm making myself read each one I buy, even though it's tempting to buy them all at once because they are completely gorgeous.

Oh, my goodness, THE CUTENESS!
