This is an amazing piece of work. Makes me feel hardships of the character and in certain instances the book enlivens my life by removing the boundary between my imagination and my perception of reality... A serious literary work indeed. Thanks Shubhra for suggesting this. Dostoevsky specifies the reasoning of the characters to such an extent that one might think that the author is bringing instances from his autobio
