Que capítulo tan fuerte y pesado el que acabo de leer. Dios mío

Estoy leyendo esto como investigación para un guion de un cortometraje y estoy demasiado intrigado y emocionado con todo lo referente a la ceguera que plantea Saramago. El mismo libro te convierte en una de las únicas personas con ojos en la historia, y eso te transmite la misma desolación que debe tener la esposa del médico. Que nadie tenga nombre deshumaniza mucho la historia, evitando que te encariñes mucho.

Me encanta el ritmo de la lectura hasta este punto, ya solo falta algo que me termine de atrapar

Pausar esta lectura y retomarla el mes de la prevención del suicidio se siente correcto

Es curioso que el libro esté escrito como chisme de pueblo con el lenguaje más vulgar posible. Me cuesta seguirle el hilo porque todos los capítulos son un párrafo gigante, sin punto y aparte. Con eso en cuenta, la historia me está encantando.

No puedo parar de pensar en lo mucho que este libro me recuerda a Aristóteles y Dante, pero de una forma diferente

I feel like something's broken and I can't fix it. That's a complicated feeling but right now I'll embrace it and finish this book today. I can do this

I am going to wrap myself in the bedsheets and cry for ten days straight. I'm devastated, I need therapy, and my therapist will then need therapy because this is too much. Everyone I know is going to need therapy after I tell them about this. The agenda of every therapist in my town is going to be fully booked for about three months because of this book. This is unbelievable. This is beautiful. I'm going to cry again
