Fantastic but slow to read because I need time to reflect on the science and sequence of events.

Just started it! I was lucky enough to hear Dr Collins speak in DC and to meet him! Reading this because I respect his work and the topic is so appealing.

Just starting this tonight. So excited for another Kate Quinn adventure!

Intriguing! The focus on different storylines by chapter is engaging. The content of global espionage is exciting!

Strong character development so far.

After the first 30 pages the characters came to life

Well, it is not like others I have read from the author. It is slow, repetitive and actually quite boring so far, page 151. The character personalities have been clarified and are somewhat predictable. My question that spurs me on is, What is the point of the story? I am continuing because of the promise of a memorable novel based on my experience with The Nightingale, The Four Winds and the Great Alone.

Characters come alive and are developed well as the story progresses and their lives intertwine. Engaging and interesting so far.

Interesting, not riveting!

Interesting, explains through “examples” which are a bit “phony “ but illustrate his points. A good book to help people see that the Rich use money to make money more so than work to make money. They utilize financial laws to keep their money. My son recommended it and it’s ok for a young adult to read.

Intriguing and interesting. Enticing me to learn more about ancient Roman society. And to think we cringe at “R” rated movies! 🤣

A little slow to start but piquing my interest now as the characters become more “known”.

Enjoying this book. The challenges of Adunni are more than we, in the US, can believe. So sad but her resilience is inspiring!

Page turner! I think I know how it will infold but a few twists are foreshadowed!

Intriguing and although I think I know who the Huntress is the journey to her discovery through the characters’ experiences is interesting and suspenseful. So far it’s a “page turner”!

I enjoyed reading the intriguing research done around friendship. So many more questions begging to be researched! The fact that friendship is integral to our well being is something I knew innately by the joy I feel with friends and family. Reading about the research supporting this was fascinating. I recommend this book to anyone intrigued by why friendship is crucial to our health. Enjoy!

I love the research aspect! The sharing if findings that support social tendencies is intriguing. Being a highly social person and seeking friendships I see now the direct genetic link to my father’s outgoing nature. Definitely need to reread to glean all the specifics! The research on loneliness is insightful also.

Interesting, be aware that there is lots of research discussed, but I love that part! The science of social development!

Interesting look at family dynamics across cultures. This is interesting to me because of the similarities to my life experiences and always interesting to learn another person’s perspective. Plus, I love Italy and the descriptions being me back to my past visits!

Beautifully and brutally shares the feelings of losing your life as you knew it, built it and as your planned future dissolved. Tembi Locke’s ability to express those feelings so clearly about loneliness, worry for your child/ren, feeling displaced and ungrounded is exquisite.

“The love is only as good as the friendship” awesome quote!

Again I am reminded of my Italian heritage and love of Italian casualness: “punctuality was only relatively important, time was always approximate.”

So true! Italian time is measured by experiences not the clock!

The description of her husband’s death captured the feelings so well. Now enjoying the details of their journey and adventures together, and in Sicily which I love!

Interesting and timely with Prince Philip’s death. Personal stories told among historical facts gives perspective about such a difficult time! Highlighting the importance of the contributions of women... an added bonus!

Very intriguing! The back stories, the development of the characters and the historical aspects are captivating and pull you in!

The character development is interesting and keeps me reading to discover more!
