Why are all the boys always there to comfort her in times of stress EXCEPT for the actual love interest

I feel like this is book is the Temu version of Boys of Tommen… except it’s not written as well and it’s completely downright depressing. It’s confusing, it took me AGES to figure out who was who and 9-10 people’s trauma in one book PLUS the stalking plot generally js makes it harder to connect with the characters cos their experiences are brushed past so quickly.

This girl is genuinely such an icon like I love her so much

I’ve gotten to the point in the book where the love interest decides to hurt our beautiful main character’s feelings just because he’s afraid he’s gonna hurt her so he’s gonna push her away and what I’m hoping will happen is that she won’t let him push her away, but I don’t think that’s gonna happen

Another reason why I find this book so good is because I kind of agree with the villain. Like his morals aren’t there but the reasons for his actions kind of makes sense

Okay I thoight I wasn’t going to update this for this book but I genuinely want to kill Elias AND Helene. He’s being criptic and confusing about his feelings, FULLY leading Hels on and Helene is refusing to heal Laia because she’s a slave girl and her jealousy in getting in the way.
She’d rather watch her crush’s f buddy die than live knowing she saved a beautiful slave

Hey so this book could’ve ended with a kiss in the alley!

I don’t even care that I KNEW she’d be the killer, Felix is my favourite person ever

I’m highkey worried that I don’t have the patience to outlast this book… like it’s interesting and all but I don’t really care about the mystery that much

I can already tell Felix’s betrayal is going to HURT, I love him so much

He’s by far the most non-toxic love interest I’ve ever read! He’s communicating AND he apologised when he hurt Sylvia’s feelings
He’s also making an effort to get to know her deeply even though he doesn’t even know her name.
He’s wonderful
And I like his name, it suits him well

I’m actually really enjoying this book so far. It’s definitely not what I’d usually gravatate towards but I like the atmosphere of the book, it’s almost cosy?
