I truly could’ve stopped reading this book like 4 pages in

every year for Xmas my dad gets me sci-fi/fantasy I would never in a million years choose for myself. i genuinely don’t know how much longer I can keep reading this. my brain is rebelling against every single word

literally so brave to open this collection with the worst short story i’ve ever read

I fully believe Seth Dickinson definitively solves the trolley problem by the end of this book

I like the occasional gross out horror, but I just got to the first sex scene and it’s like. I get that there’s often an element of over the top goofiness to this genre. But like. Please don’t make me read the words “floppy hole” ever again.

I’ve never read Sally Rooney but I know every single human alive loves her. I’m definitely expecting way too much out of this book since I know she’s a self-described marxist, but who knows, maybe I’ll just love it, too

I love the thing Ishiguro does where he ends a section with “and everything continued to be pleasant between us………until the mysterious events of that day at Brighton Falls” and then there’s a page break and he immediately just tells you what happened at Brighton Falls or whatever
