This is it! This time I will make myself like Red Rising!!

Okay. I didn't stop reading this...but my fingers are itching to give this a 1 star. I'm so mad at how clunky this is written. It's like Moriarty doesn't care about any of these characters or plot, but just wants to invent lots of wild conflict at the expense of character realism.

It's like she's literally trying to be reminiscent of Inside Out emotions, without giving a reason to care. Awful parents. Bad business.

I'm pledging if this doesn't improve by page 350, I'm DNFing. What is even happening. No one is believable. Everyone is insufferable and so outrageously ridiculous. Did these people JUST become parents? These Time Travel reviews are so wildly unrealistic that it's taking me out of the story. Teddy is the best part...and even then....

Okay. On the one hand, I'm enjoying this.

On the other, I find Mordechai to be one of the most insufferable protagonists (who acts like the biggest martyr) I've read from this year. I hate the way he interacts with Yetta and Frieda so much that I wish him ill will...which is maybe the antithesis to the point...?

I fear I live too far in an Odyssey world that I find the drama behind " being forced to live on an island" as really dramatic.

Ewwwwww. This is the most sniveling and grovely MC love interest I've ever seen. Cause right now, Gertie is literally sobbing and grabbing at her exes legs to prevent him from leaving and isn't for me.

Also, not her doing this in front of her literal sexy book character.

Not bad, but the ending is revealing how underdeveloped all the secondary characters are.

The way all Mikes friends are okay that he forced himself on Larissa and caused an allergy attack, while Mikes Mom responds by forcing her to quit her job or have an allergy attack (with one of the most villainous lines I've read all year), is sending me.

Oh nooooooo. This may be the worst thing I've ever read. It's so dumb and contradictory of itself. I can't take it seriously 😂

This book is truly a horror novel. I think if you changed the cover to be darker this could be pitched that way. Like, the afterlife person is a psychopath and has me so uneasy. There's so much tension that I'm so not into any of the romance.

It's been about 1,200 pages and I can't believe that I've finally lost steam on Vis as a character. He's just...not a character? His friends die and he's always just fine. Amazing things happen and he barely reacts. Splitting Vis into three characters, it's just becoming so much more clear how undeveloped he is, and I'm mad about it.

Lol this is the DUMBEST book I've read in a WHILE.

It's been YEARS since John Marrs has written a character I like. At this point, I'm so excited for Damon to be ripped apart and tortured.

Incoming, the final 50 pages are sending this book into a nosedive.

I really thought this would be a lot more intricate or interesting of a mystery. Put simply, this is just about a corrupt lawyer who is murdered and our 3 POV's all have a motive. Halfway in, and it's not more deep than that yet.

This is good, but geez it's like A Little Life all over again
