on death row for killing her husband - convinced she didn’t do it - turns out she did try to explode the house - thought he was cheating on her - he wasn’t - she races home & almost got hit by a semi - noises was her in a coma - actually just life flashing before her eyes & everything’s fine? hello?

i really don’t like insta love. also realizing i might not like books that are solely romance- i need something extra going on to give me a reason to be invested but books like this give me no reason to turn the next page especially if they fall in love on page 1

so addicting so far - i’m much more into this storyline & writing than i was the first one

just felt pointless. not much happened. last 30% was really captivating but also predictable?? i really like revisiting these characters but the series could’ve totally ended at the novella & i would’ve been satisfied. lots of plot holes

wish i saw more of the farm setting - i feel like i barely got to know the characters if at all & main male character was a WIIIIMP

enjoyed my time at times but was pulling teeth to finish the last 30% SOS will not be reading the rest of the series

i guessed the plot twist which ruined the whole book!!!!! it was so painfully obvious that Krista was the one plotting against Blake. the writing was amazing as usual & these books are insanely addictive but a thriller book can never be good if the ending can be guessed by the reader - i wouldn’t recommend this book :(

really good twists, but couldn’t get past the concept of a grown ass man having a thing for teenage students.. i get that’s the point of the book but it felt icky

i really loved the last 150 pages & how the story wrapped up but Jacks was by far my favorite character & he wasn’t in this book too much until then so i didn’t have much to hold on to. but i love this world & these characters & the writing - now time for Caraval!

ONLY because i wasn’t as invested in evangeline saving apollo as she was but GODDDDD jacks & the ending made up for it
