I can't put this book down! I am a little jaded from watching the Netflix series involving the events in this book, and as I read I seem to like Love more in the show. But its totally different, and enjoyable just the same!!

"Why, when we could live out our lives in a flower-filled paradise, do we all prefer to weep, suffer and get lost in a maelstrom of passion and fury, torturing ourselves in the flames of hell?"

So many super interesting twists and turns and mysteries on this strange intellectual vampire hunt. There's nothing cheesy about this psychic manipulation. Truly haunting.

Brukland is on page 769 of 835 of The Terror
I have never read anything from Dan Simmons before this novel, and I feel like I should have because it is a real struggle to get through this one for me. The mystery of the "terror" on the ice is intriguing, but there's not enough mention of it to keep me interested. That being said, this is a great historical fictionalization of the real ships and their crew, if that's what you are more into.

I can't believe after all this time I haven't had this book spoiled for me! I love all the detective work and early forensic/psychology. Can't wait to finish!

This is such an absorbing and intelligent mystery and suspense novel so far! I didn't realize this was a tv show when I bought this book at a thrift shop so I'm excited to finish it in the next few days and start watching!

SO much good insight into how we think and cause some of our own stress.

Pretty simple, interesting mystery so far that's easy to follow, though predictable. That aside, it's a cozy little summer thriller!

I like Dreamcatcher so far because it really grasps the emotions each person feels while experiencing absolute terror of the unknown/alien. Made me really question how far I'd be willing to go to help someone.

Brukland is on page 100 of 323 of Borne (Borne, #1)
This has a Southern Reach Trilogy vibe in a sense of primordial/otherworldly biology, but with more dialogue and hands on experience in a strange environment. The circumstances of this future earth type area are so interesting and weird that I wish I lived there and could experience this first hand!
