Chaotic, addictive, and impossible to put down. The characters are intense, messy, and just the right amount of unhinged. It doesn’t try to be overly complex—it leans into the drama and tension, and that’s exactly why I flew through it way faster than I expected and was hooked the entire time. I recommend this book to dark romance readers. It def comes with a lot of trigger warnings.

At what point to I dnf this book? I want to finish but I just can’t say the urge is compelling enough to do so.

Only 60% through this book and already ready to give it 5 stars.

What the antagonist says about the protagonist:“Do not call her Sunshine… Because she is moonlight. The mist that shrouds the mountains. The bite of electricity in the air before a storm. The smoke that rolls across a battlefield before the killing starts. You have no idea what she is. What she could be. You should call her Majesty.” I am dead

Some quotes I’ve enjoyed so far:
1) “As one expert, put it, opinions are “theologically held“— thus impervious to reason, evidence or argument”

2) Will Rogers joke:
“Are you a member of any organized political party?”
“No, I’m a democrat.”

Easy reading good little story about an Ojibwe family.
