just spent 21 pages reading about this tree farmer’s horniness???

is this man’s extreme libido relevant? or necessary?

so many characters i’m slightly confused
also why is everyone (ok not everyone but a couple of characters are) unhappy with their partner and like emotionally cheating on them under the guise of “following your heart” and “staying true to yourself”
besides that i’m enjoying this a lot!
it’s also written a bit differently than heaven and hell, maybe less stream of consciousness-y but still some

i hate these people and i feel immense pity for others

i bought the physical book after finishing heaven and hell and testing the waters with stefansson

i want to finish this
i enjoy this but i keep putting it off

i take back what i said the fluid writing is growing on me a lot

i’m not the biggest fan of the run on sentences and stream of consciousness writing style but im not that bothered by it since i am very much enjoying the language

icelandic literature is really speaking to me after finishing icefields (even though thats canadian)

i need to stop reading this genre of book so frequently and actually finish icefields

really enjoying the characters! not because i think they’re particularly good or charming but rather its quite amusing to see their interactions and flaws (which of the seven deadly sins they represent)
