This book is really basic on many levels. I'm only sticking with this book for book club, "native daddy", and work drama.

So so so good! I could and have been reading this all day. Authors don't write like this anymore 😭

I'm so surprised to find this as an ebook on hoopla. I'm kinda of bummed that I won't be able to read this on my kindle but that's okay. Im so excited! I read the sample of this last night.

Copies of this available on Libby and hoopla so I may read this as an ebook and audiobook. I'm literally only reading this because I miss Nick and June's romance.

Reading as an ebook. This is a comfort read. There's nothing triggering about this book which is Soo welcomed.

Dang am I really about to dnf a book at 80% completion? I think so. The mandatory break in his new adult contemporary romance is blown so out of proportion. Like where are the stakes?! Part of this irritation that I have with Irene is that (spoiler) she's flunking her first sem. Of school for no reason. And she feels bad for her friends on scholarship. While it's not obv, her parents pay for her tuition. Spoiled much

Listening as an audiobook. So far this book is such a treat and the romance pallet cleanser I needed/craved after reading over hyped contemporary romance authors. Think Emily henry or Jimenez. Anyway, I heard about this book on the fated mates podcast. I like that it's historical because of different descriptions. I cannot believe how many times I opened an ebook and all I see is blond hair this and blue eye etc

Audiobooking this one. This is a very powerful listening experience especially as a new mom to a black boy.

Honestly, I’m reading a few pages here and there in the morning when I need a pick me up.

I’m thinking this is like her other books where you can read a few pages, versus the whole book, to get the point. The Let Them theory is super helpful though. Again I was so excited for this book so bummer.

Not feeling this enemies to lovers storyline. Which is a bummer because I was mad excited, like obsessed about this book. LOL

Very pleasant read. But am mood reading, so this is currently on pause.

May move this to dnf. MC isnt likable and her bff is annoying and overbearing. Love interest is cute but trauma bonding with MC.
