Maybe dark romance isn't actually the genre for me. So far, there's been little to no plot. We have an interesting foundation but no trials, no missions, no full back story yet from any character, and everyone is horny and conveniently super hot. I'm feeling 2 stars at the horizon for this once I finish.

Really loved the chemistry and writing style up until chapter 29. The MMC insecurities really came out of no where for me and I wish this wasn't the actual reason for the couple's divide. I trust that there will be a happily ever after but I also feel like chapter 29 just soured everything for how stupid MMC acted on the situation.

Call me crazy but I'm doing the re read on 3.5x speed and it really does help with the slow pacing of this book 💀 surprisingly, I do like the vibes much more this second time around.

I'm eating this up so fast and I don't want it to end 😭

I have NEVER read anything like this and really have no idea how to feel about it but am I absolutely hooked? YES.

Still a lot better than the other Freida McFadden books I read. Some ticks that bother me is why can't Erica just confide in her husband and tell him what she knows? What's the point in keeping this away from him? Also, she keeps using this detective on everyone but on her own son. Can't you have the detective follow your own son so you can figure out some clues on your own??
