i dont like the narrator

im reading at the speed of a snail

“The main thing you got to remember is that everything in the world is a hustle.”

alice is very aggravating

“You looked at them and wondered why they were so ugly; you looked closely and could not find the source. Then you realized that it came from conviction, their conviction. It was as though some mysterious all-knowing master had given each one a cloak of ugliness to wear, and they had each accepted it without question.”

what the hell, sure

victor frankenstein you’re doing too much man

“Destiny was too potent, and her immutable laws had decreed my utter and terrible destruction.”

this reads like a shitty fanfic. rachel reid writes like she’s stating things. it’s like a porn without plot fanfic. no plot whatsoever. anything slightly resembling plot is immediately shut down or avoided. even then, that would’ve been not that bad if the romance is especially compelling. if the yearning is top tier. it’s not. a shame.

really don’t think i’ll enjoy this book
