“The July Girls,” by Alison Littlewood- another excellent one about sisters, the hauntings we leave behind, and the fae people in Cornwall. Claustrophobic enough to make Poe proud.

“Whimper Beg,” by Lee Thomas- my favorite so far. Utterly bizarre, original and real. Loved the LGBTQ+ horror perspective, would read more of this author. Excellent atmosphere

“Linger Longer,” by Vincent J. Masterson- this was dreamlike, bizarre and unsettling. Very decent ghost horror in the woods/camping

It occurs to me that I should take notes on these stories as I read them occasionally to remember what they were about and how I thought of them:

“Ice Cold Lemonade 25ȼ Haunted House Tour: 1 Per Person,” by Paul Tremblay- this was incredibly atmosphere, and eerie, in a way that genuinely felt like being a kid. The best thing I’ve read by Tremblay so far. Having not enjoyed one of his novels, I’d read more
