I forgot a lot about this series over the years. and it was fun reading about Esrahaddon again, although matching up his personality from his prequel to this book doesn't really match up that well for me.

man, my eyes were starting to glaze over. She is back and forth all over the place so far this book. pick a damn thread and move it forward. I hate it when these longer litrpg books start turning into bullet points instead of stories.

Still not sure what I think about the narrator. his voice really doesn't fit Dusk's character so far. And I'm wondering when the prologue will come back into relevance.

really struggling with this book. the slice of life is feeling more and more pointless. gathering more spirit beasts, and nothing is happening, no forward momentum. I'm fine with slow, but the first half of this book is just spinning its wheels.

ok, I was not liking this book till the "futuristic" stuff snuck in and then it got my attention.

Almost finished with the book and really enjoying the wrap up / epilogue chapters. it REALLY makes me want to read the Ryria chronicles again. I'll probably do that after I finish the next trilogy with Nolyn.

I'm not so sure that the decision to expand the 2nd arc of this series from 2 to 3 books was the right decision. Age of Death and so far Age of Empyre have really dragged. covering a lot of the same ground over and over.

not sure why, but I bounced off this book when I picked it up... I decided to read another book and come back to this. maybe I'll be more in the mood at a later date.

hrm. the start of this book has me worried. Its focusing on the less interesting characters and I'm concerned for the direction this final book is going. really hoping things change and Andrew sticks the landing on this finale.

Stopped reading this, maybe I'll come back. But as much as a liked book 1, book 2 was a bit of a disappointment, and book 3 I'm really not liking at all.

so far I have to say I kinda hate this book. its a little too experimental of a conclusion to a trilogy that was a lot more of a straightforward fantasy series.

Sadly so far the only character I don't really care about is Vlora. her plot just isn't nearly as interesting as Michel's and Styke's. Especially after Taniel was arrested and she is on her own. Her plot this novel is just a very vanilla boring story so far while we have Michel's bad ass double spy infiltration of a conquering government, and Styke's revenge and cavalry battles.

Taking a short break from reading this as I was given a beta copy of a book that I can't talk about quite yet. And I need to finish that book in a certain time frame.

This book has a pretty interesting premise so far. And definitely starts quick. Thanks amazon prime books.

Not sure I'm liking how much I'm hating Darrow this time around.
