An interesting scifi book that focused on a future war of Earthling who have colonized the solar systems and aliens. The humans discover an ancient warship built by another now extinct race and find a very self aware super AI who takes a shine to the humans. The AI and warship are incredibly powerful and could tip the balance of powerin the humans favor. Except the ship is a pacifist who doesn't like to kill....

I admit that I read Pink Cadillac so started the series out of order. The main "protagonist" is a totally deranged sociopathic ADHD vigilante who LOVES the state if Florida and call its lore and history. There were many scenes in the book that seemed random but came into play later. This book has deranged moments of deranged people doing awful things making you laugh out loud. Not a terrible book but not one of the better ones by this author. If you are reading books still you are probably not who this is geared to help!

This was a horrifying "real news" view on the financial melt down of 2009 in which NO ONE WENT TO JAIL for stealing billions. It compares and contrasts a very skewed criminal justice system in which lower income folks are literally thrown in jail for 15 dollar jaywalking tickets. If you are on the debate fence about the american criminal justice system you need to read this book.

Can't imagine i waited this long to read this series!

The first book i have read that combines magic within sci fi. Charachters were a bit cliche but well thought out.
