So far feels like the stylistic equivalent of before sunrise in a way? I’m scared to read a single page in the wrong mindset, not immersed enough, I don’t want to let it pass me by in any way

Oh i already love this so much. Picked it from the shelf kind of on a whim and the way it’s written, stream of consciousness packed with run-on sentences, so innocently observational, is so nostalgic and perfect yes this is exactly what i was looking for

I am only on page 34 so it feels a little unfair to make judgements. I like the very forward approach of posing a philosophical question in the introduction and then spending the novel exploring it/attempting to find an answer. But so far all this reads as is “stupid man gains sentience” god I hate him so much I HATE HIM SO MUCH

I can’t stand reading about men who are like this but at the same time im kinda hooked already
