This book is written amazingly well. It is definitely the same tone as The Martian, so far. I truly enjoy the science and mathematical calculations explained in both books because they help with the immersion.

The last book that actually made me feel something to the point of tears was Cormac McCarthy’s “The Road.” This book just brought me to the same place. The story has me caring for characters that I didn’t think I would. The world isn’t as detailed as I thought it would be. Mostly just forest and trails, but the steady build up to where this book has brought me more than makes up for that fact.
