34 books and I hit a stumbling block... the first one I can’t see a point in and is boring me... I feel sad...

Not sure how I made it to 23%!!! The first few books in the series were real cute and readable! Wtf happened?! Do we have a ghost writer? Because this book is boring as hell! Not enough dialogue and the most rushed unrealistic reunion ever!!! Couple clearly haven’t left high school even a decade of growing up later! Poor poor story telling / character building (or lack of!)... this is worse than vanilla!

Am I the only one who doesn’t “get” this style of writing? Feels overly complicated and “out of order” (literally!) to make the dialogue interesting but totally misses the mark! Not sure how much more I can take!!!

I am sleeping ridiculously late... reading this in the toilet, on the train, on my walk to get lunch! Oh my God!!!! Wow! Just effin wow!!! What an awesome awesome friggin book! the first two were slow but I’d read a court of Thorn and roses and KNEW this would pick up! So so so glad I persevered! So much has happened! Where the hell is this book going?

I haven’t commented / updated a book progress in ages!!! Am really really loving this book! The first one was very slow starting but boy did it pick up! This one has picked up where the last one ended and the story is just great!!!!

What an amazing author ... I think the only thing I can say is "I don't know why I took so long to pick this book up!". An epic plot, web of characters (which I can only keep up with thanks to the notes on my phone! The book moves between multiple locations but somehow the plot is kept together and it is not a difficult read at all! You have a million questions and answers in your head! But no idea what will become!

Wow! Just wow!!!! This is going to be a mind blower I just know it! Am making a ton of character notes at the moment as there just SO MANY! But really enjoying this! The plot is going to be crazeeeeeeeee!

Absolutely loving the adventure in this book! It's been on my bookshelf for years! So glad I started it! Love the lead heroine in this! She is exactly that! Seriously badass!

Poor Valentin 😔

Quite a slow paced book, a lot of detail but it's kept me going. Not sure how much I care for Claire... all memoirs of Frank seem to be gone!!! Guilt? No? Don't know that word???

Great book so far! Fabulous writing style, so easy to follow with the right amount of detail in every aspect!

I haven't been in a place where I can't put a book down in a long time! That is so the case with this book! Gota sleep now... will review more later!

From the blurb on Amazon this doesn't look like the kind of book that would interest me... but someone's review who I follow and they have the same taste as me in books... has given 5 stars... so here goes

Proving to be a slow read for me, but that's because it's taking to gain momentum. That's ok though. Starting to get there. There also seems to be two storylines ... I'm wondering how they will collide...

Re-reading ... been thinking about this book loads. I remember I enjoyed it first time. Cover is super cheesy and doesn't relate to the story.... but here's to hoping I enjoy it again! So far so good!

Wow! Level of angst in this book is painful...I find Axel annoying! Is that fair given her history? I don't know...where do you draw a line between feeling sorry for yourself and being self destructive and just fixing up! Killian (seriously dodge name!) - is adorable! And boy do I feel bad for him! But Salsbury writing keeps you reading... some bits made me giggle!

Salsbury is so talented! Her ability to give just the right amount of dialogue with description is spot on. But most of all I like her plot development, she sets great pace, no aggravating angst about what's going on. As a reader the pace of the story is good, and you are given enough detail to keep you turning the page! To keep you interested! Not an easy thing to do!

Hhhmmmm... very 50 shades of Grey-ish!
