this is the first time i'm reading a fantasy book in years as I normally struggle to grasp the concept of them not being real/bound to our laws and rules. I am struggling to get into it as I predicted, buuuuuuut this book is starting to get interesting. hopefully I will have the will power to finish this book and read the second book

not really sure where it's going, but I'm really into the chapters about fergus' childhood. not really fussed about the chapters in the present, although the book is picking up a bit
