As strange as it is the romance of Lou Ji and his made up literary character was one of the most beautiful passages I’ve read in a while, I got lost in a short story within a story. The tragic story of a man who’s only true love was a character concocted by his own imagination, the only real romance he’s known a reflection of his own expectations and desires, what a lonely existence. This sets him up well
