The among us chapters are a bit annoying

I’m not even 50 pages in and this book has already made me cry 3 times

I love how inclusive the novel is. Not only are the characters much more diverse, but it doesn’t limit death to being represented as just hell and heaven in their Christian version, it also directly states that all religions beliefs exist and there’s a system in place for those who don’t align with a religion and I really enjoyed that

Do you know how badly I was hoping Rune WASNT the Roseblood Heir? Like it’s supposed to be a twist but it’s so damn obvious. And sure make her the Roseblood heir but did you really need to make her a Sibil too??? Don’t you think you Mary Sue’d a little bit too far after making her the most powerful witch and able to tell the future?

I did not like that explicit scene at all. I’m normally pretty okay with them, I don’t seem out books that have them but if the novel has it it’s fine, and they’re kind of unavoidable because pretty much every fantasy romance YA novel had sex in it. But this one was uncomfortable to read I did not like this one, I can’t explain why but it makes me feel icky

Chapter 22- WHY DID YOU MENTION THE VEIN IM LITERALLY SCREAMING 😭🤣

I keep forgetting his full name is Kingfisher not that he’s a King named Fisher, but it’s Kingfisher like the bird.

Also Saeris is a bit whiny but she’s definitely not as bad as Poppy. ALSO what the hell right does Saeris have to scream at Carian to leave for asking questions when she’s literally the reason he’s stuck there in the first place, like I don’t like Carian but girl c’mon hypocrite much

chapter 13- I LOVE when there’s push back from other characters against the main characters actions and when they don’t cave to the main character. I hate when authors write the main character to always be right and even when they are called out they still find a way to make the character still in the right, Im so pleased that Fisher is not backing down and is still insisting on her being wrong, super refreshing

Chapter 11- “you may fascinate a woman by giving her a piece of cheese” XD

Chapter 9- I love that all of the characters have emotions and their own agenda, it’s so nice when side characters feel fleshed out even when they’re only there for a scene or two, I adore everything about this. Orchids to the author, I hope this book stays this good, this might top Heartless Hunter as the best book I’ve read this year if it stays this good, and might even top ACOTAR as my fav fantasy romance.

It’s honestly really refreshing to see a character that actually feels bad about the mistakes she’s made. I’ve read way to many books about female main characters who have no soul and think they’re better then everyone. The scene where she cries in the bath because there was all this water she couldn’t give her family was a really good example of this.

This is really good so far, I hope they get more into the mythology of the characters, I’m really fascinated by the gods mentioned

“Besides the fact that I randomly ran for help” pretty much sums up Poppy as a charcater. Cocky, annoying, stupid and cannot follow instructions it’s laughable how infuriatingly pick me she is

The main character is like a temperamental child. Someone makes a true comment about how she made a stupid decision that could’ve gotten her killed and she instantly gets huffy and insults them even when they’re LITERALLY IN A LIFE THREATENING SITUATION THIS WOMAN HAS NO SELF AWARENESS HOW DOES ANYONE LIKE HER

You’ve got be kidding me she’s a fucking EMPATH OH MY GOD, this book is the dream of every pick me girl and it’s infuriating.
