Hard to put down at this point. Took me a little while to get into it but things are really starting to get interesting.

Very well written yet slow building. Kinda reminds me of the Book Thief or something I’ve read before. Got this book for a quarter at Bargain barn, it was barely touched. Can’t believe someone just threw it away.

Just as immersive as the first. I love it. So many awesome references if you don’t appreciate this book you just don’t get it or were born too late.

Really liking the views on social media and the descriptions of the technology and how it is being applied. I hate Arty thus far. Shes so Moody, I get why she is angry but shes so bitchy and disrespectful. I wish Cline would have given her a little more class, she seems so immature in how she handles her emotions but doing all these bold and brave things IDK yet. Maybe I'm supposed to dislike her at this point...

Taxi Driver (film) / Catcher in the Rye / Perks of Being a Wallflower Vibes. But with like an extra dash of light humor. I am enjoying it. Not as good as The Book Thief but really it shouldn’t be compared to it. Different book and Zusak is a great writer. Definitely recommend for a weekend read.

Does anyone know why Sonchai calls the old woman Mother repeatedly in chapter 14? Is this common in Thai culture to address an older woman in this manner?

It’s ok. parts are really great I’m just not sure how to fit it all together yet. Narrative is a bit messy in the way that I’m left wondering how we got to where we at and then being thrown back into the meta verse or not
