hmmm. the introduction was good but many of the selections have been disappointing (underdeveloped?)

not to be cliche but i do feel that “because i could not stop for death, he kindly stopped for me” is one of the hardest lines of all time

weird and hard to read. thought this would be quicker but my eyes are troubling me. also 0 paragraph breaks. every page is one long block of text. sentences sometimes go on for 1/2 a page.

hmmm not realistic. who in wilderness got to sleep in a tent or a cabin? we had to make our own shelters from tarps and cook our food on a fire or camp stove. no fire no hot food

it’s ok but i’m not an abolitionist and the whole thing is a bit heavy handed with that. interested to see if there’s more commentary on the actual problems with people who advocate for abolition without any kind of plan to move forward beyond “it’s a positive process that invites us to imagine new ways of thinking about harm” or whatever.
