Interesting and realistic story. Sad. But at least biff found himself. Lesson learned: don’t be e phony, be real. Aspire to something great, always. Respect your parents. Make them happy. But it is not you obligation to make them happy. Everyone needs to find their own happiness. That being said try to pay back your parents. They sacrificed a lot to raise you. And gave you love, always. Show them you love them.

The detective is turning crazy. Obsessed. A fun and sad read. For some reason his behavior makes so much sense. He bought a gas station too watch for a black American car. He wants to adopt a girl, presumably as bait for the killer. He lives with a hooker presumably to have a kid with the same features as the murdered girls have. Not sure about all of this. Just my theory.

Wow. Long time since I have read a German book. The writing is fantastic. It just feels like the author is smart.

Change comes from the inside not outside fixes. Basically the opposite of “fake it till you make it”. Really? It is proven that when you force a smile and train laughing you become happier. This contradicts the author’s theory.
