Housekeeping! I decided to blow the dust off the old Goodreads account and clean it up after 5 years hiatus. I don't know if I'll be active like I used to be (I feel kinda weird rating other people's books these days), but we'll see what 2020 brings. ***HIATUS*** As you can tell, I'm not tracking my reading or maintaining my Goodreads shelves much these days. I might come back to it one day, but I need to focus on other things this year. I will of course answer any Q&A questions or comments, though, and my Wordpress blog updates here. You can also catch me on Tumblr, Twitter, or Pinterest, on occasion. Happy reading everyone :)

I've been away from Goodreads for so long, I'm not going to attempt to catalog what I've read since April. It was most re-reads anyway. I probably won't be around much until after HoF is out - I'll try to get caught up in December.

In the first 1/4 of 2015 I've read almost as many books as I read in the whole of 2014. Wow. 2014 was brain-foggier than I thought.

I picked this up at the dollar store yesterday, thinking it would be a quickie throwaway read. WRONG. Talk about happy accidents!

Hello all – I've been quite absent from GR lately, due to crazy times at work with the fiscal year changeover and crazy times at home finishing HoF. Consequently I'm not reading much of anything new, just an old favorite here or there. But I didn't want y'all to think I've abandoned this place – au contraire. I plan to jump back in by the end of the summer.

Not much time for GR lately - I would apologize for that, but it's because I'm writing, so no. :D I hope your summer is starting out well!

I took a break from this while I fought off a head cold - it's great stuff (the book, not the head cold) and I didn't want to read when I couldn't give it my full attention. Getting back to it now.

They weren't kidding - this shit is dark, yo. My only complaint so far: Miles panicking thinking "I'm a lover, not a fighter!" wtf? Miles O'Brien is one phaser fight away from wearing a Cardassian ear necklace.

I'm definitely enjoying this, but it lacks the spark I loved so much about her bio of Mary I. idk how to describe it.

She really doesn't care for historical novelists, does she?

And now we come to the "I don't want to die a virgin!" scene. Much more enjoyable at 13 than at 36. o___o

Dozens of unread books on my shelves and in my Kindle, and I'm trawling the school library for Spring Break reads. Why do I do that?

There is a lot more story here than I remember. A 13-year-old tends to stick with polar bear fighting and the psychic hotline.

I have located the TNG book from my youth wherein Riker fights a polar bear. I had forgotten about the psychic hotline with Deanna. This is going to be glorious.

In the mood to read a Trek book next - not sure which one. Kinda want to find that one TNG book where Riker fights a polar bear

interesting style - very linear and continuous, like a witness giving testimony

I'm confused. I thought we were supposed to dislike Coriolanus? He's just about the only character I do like.

Just got another NetGalley invite for a space history book. Score! It warms my space nerd heart. \o/

I don't think I've read this since high school - I don't remember any of it. Which is kind of unforgivable, actually.

Huzzah! I have successfully archived my entire library except for my Star Trek books. Those will have to wait -- maybe over Winter Break.

Today's goal: archive my Mary Renault collection. Let us not even think of Star Trek books yet.

ooh, the plot thickens!
