Already SO invested

I won’t lie I’ve had to resort to the audiobook bc some parts of this book are clearly just set up for the rest of the series and it’s quite slow

Ok NOW it’s picking up YAHHHH

Oh so now I understand this book is the building block for the rest of the series 🙂‍↕️

Even though we’re getting a lot less Darrow I still appreciate and love the new perspectives we are getting. I can’t wait to see how they interact with the new story

My GOD I am already obsessed with

I’m one chapter in and I’ve cringed 12 times ( I counted them bc I highlighted every single dumb thing this main character has already said. This so far I’m sorry is beyond trashy writing…

I am OVERWHELMED! There is so much happening and I am very stressed

I fear I have no idea how this is going to end and I’m scared SHITLESS

The puzzles pieces are coming togetherrrrrr

Oh we are SO back. This is top tier political fantasy 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

This book while feeling so full with life, feels like reading another language bc I don’t remember ANYTHING about this series. I haven’t read a day of fallen night in 2.5 years and sadly, I don’t think this stands as a standalone book. Like I would enjoy it a lot more with knowledge of the other books in the series. But I can never lie that Samantha has incredible writing style and I’m still enjoying this!

I feel like we get a little bit too much backstory and long moments about theories and paradoxes. And I LOVE learning about them but in smaller amounts then what we are getting I think

I know it’s not for everyone but I love when R F Kuang explains theories and motives bc she makes it so easy to understand and I just love learning from her writing

This is so fun to learn about and so important too. Loving hearing Nia’s story

Oh how I MISS her writing style 😭
