DNF- just made no sense to me whatsoever and after looking at other reviews decided life was too short to continue.

This is reading like an Emily St John Mandel novel; like Station Eleven. Apocalyptic environment, many characters, hints dropped in every chapter. Taking notes so I can reign in my need to "figure out" what is going on and getting ahead of myself. 4 stars now but hoping it becomes a 5 start read.

62% in and things are finally getting interesting! “I watched the paper curl. I watched the lion and the unicorn turn black and crumble into ash. “I don’t need the paper. I said, watching the fire eat the words. “I have the man.”

DNF @ 50%; Why do authors feel the need to basically write porn into their stories. I was enjoying the storyline and really liked the characters and was interested in how it was going to end BUT after getting hit again with another EXPLICIT sex scene I just couldn't do it anymore. There was no need for it. Those scenes added nothing to the story line. Sad, but done and moving on.
