Main character becomes master of apprentice and a message is carried. The astronaut was crazy. Really interested world building so far but I feel like I really have to focus.

I feel like the book is passed weirdly. Had a super long chapter only for the book to wrap up very fast.

Beautiful chapter, exited to see the future ramifications in the book. Thing do just be happening to happen though

Thing but in Japan, love story felt a little tropey and forced but I really liked the commentary on the nature of life in the section about the Tory gates.

I think the books tries to make Sam out o be the bad person but simultaneously puts a lot more work into sam as a character, causing this strange dynamic where Sadie just comes off as unreasonable.

Done with part 3: I think this book as an issue with exposition. Much of the book is presented as 3rd person omniscient even though it isn’t. This both has an issue where a lot of the exposition is told not shown and many of the characters have strange conclusions on things that are presented as fact even though we know they aren’t.

Really liking so far. The pros remind me of Murakami, cinematic yet philosophical.
