i forget how good these books are like wowowo

Reading this is so Will can catch up on a little life!

honestly this book is so emotionally draining!

on this read through I have noticed something I never have before! beautiful exposition and explanation of the eventual continuation of these characters lives. a line of reasoning upon which all other things in the novel exist

The beginning of the end!

I don't think I will ever be able to understand the people that call the first part of this novel boring. It is so unbelievably interesting (even on my fourth read) to see how these characters grew up, and just place myself within their heads. Truly phenomenal writing!

i’m always pleased to be reminded of the profoundness of Yanagihara’s work. A TRUE genius who is able to expertly develop characters while making them see real and flawed. Beyond characters they are people, beyond and a story this is reflection of life!

i really hate how this is going!

didn’t like the fight video stuff

oddly enough, this book is the only one so far that does not seem to have the deep rooted homophobia that goes alone with hockey culture!

i can’t put it down!

it actually makes me so upset that Kip and Scott's story was so rushed in the show. There is so much more that happens in their story, and honestly it could have taken a WHOLE other episode (maybe even two) to be able to fully tell their story faithfully. You lose so much of their motivations, and the nuances of their arc by basically summing up their story just to serve Ilya and Shane. They are just as important.

i could not sleep last night and it honestly did not help that this book is so good!

obsessed with this

i think this book is very filled with smut! not necessarily a bad thing, i just am enjoying the vulnerable and genuine moments between scott and kip more!

it makes me sad that the nuances of this book were lost when it was adapted to the screen because i think kip and scott are much more well written characters than what was given to us in the show!!

super easy read to get me out of a slump! love scott and kip! scott is of course more nuanced in the book which i am definitely enjoying

truly wish I was reading another book. isn't that messed up. I love her other books but I am such a mood reader and I just am not In the mood to be reading this. Do I DNF or just really try???

why are they just evil like can they be likeable please

I do not know why this book is just not hooking me. like I really wish I was intrigued! and I guess I've definitely read worse books but I'm just not grabbed by the love story.
