Half way through this Dystopian legend- picked this up by luck at the bookstore and I haven’t been able to put it down!! Think- the inventiveness of the Uglies series combined with the strategy of the hunger games narrative. And then mix in some badass name mechanisms. Danzenbaker, you have my attention.

This feels like a studio ghibli film mixed with Russian folklore, christelle Dabos’ style and the richness of Houck’s character personality talent. I feel like I’m back home in her stories arms learning in the safety of her chapter titles and creativity. I’ve missed this feeling
