I haven’t read this book since I was in high school. I had very fond memories of it then, but I couldn’t remember much of its contents. So far, I am still enjoying the book. However, I feel like the author has many personal experiences that he assumes are universal to all men (that I personally feel little similarity to). Still excited to keep reading!

Ok so I’m like halfway done and… I don’t get the hype lol. I’m kind of interested, but he just seems to be so bland and have no character!

Ok ok I’m catching the vibe! This is pretty funny!

Okay these names are killing me and the accent the audio book guy does for Harshaw sounds just like the detective from Knives Out.

But some interesting and complex plot developments are coming along! Harshaw seems like… very sexist but he’s also seeming to be more of an antagonist figure as the story progresses.

TMI: The Novel

Ok so this had mixed ratings but I can never tell on this app if the the other people writing the reviews have similar taste to me. I enjoy the writing style so far but I am a little lost bc I think I missed some parts when listening to the audio book.

Well, I think this audio book will be interesting. I can’t take everything so seriously, plus it feels very dramatized. I never had any particular interest in British royalty, but maybe that will change!

Wow! I expected this to be so similar to Asher Lev, but the story and characters are very different. That was one of my favorite books, so I am excited to see where this goes!

Wow… this actually has just gotten more impressive! You can really feel the weight of everything crushing down on him and how hard it is to realize your loved ones would be safe if only you hadn’t been there.

Wow this is taking several several unexpected turns! I like the writing for the most part! Some is a bit “edgy” but I really can’t wait to see how everything plays out!

I love how much he is talking about how prayer changes your brain!! Very insightful! Didn’t agree with everything about how worrying = not trusting God, but I understand where he is coming from

I fell behind reading this during a very brief small group, but I continue to love how this is written and how applicable it is!

Incredible to also include step by step questions to actually bring us along this journey and process!! Helps put it into practice!

Even though he references Bible verses I’ve read so many times, I never thought of them in THIS context. I love how he is combining psychology and theology so beautifully!!
