First book that’s veering away from the anime. Interesting start so far. Looking forward to seeing more of Jinshi at the palace with his identity revealed.

So this is book one. 99% done with it (excluding the side stories). Planning on leaving it as is coz I dnt want to stay up tonight trying to catch up to book 2 which is what will happen if I try to finish the 1%.

It’s 87% of 700+ chapters. The book is still ongoing.

I only have around 150 chapters left & Im very reluctant to keep reading coz I dnt wanna finish this yet. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this for any story.

End of chapter 500 & the scrap picking arc is finally complete. My heart aches for ye xiu, it must hurt to see this team he created reaching its own ruin becoz of the ee ppl were too jealous & greedy.

Chapter 475. The scrap picking arc. Deception was introduced in chapter 464 & rn he’s being chased by the guilds while the guilds are trying to chase ye xiu, if they can find him first. Even tho deception & ye xiu split, I’m pretty sure deception is being driven towards ye xiu rn.

Chapter 1 was already a lot different from the drama. The drama gave an intro into the war, & showed us the villains talking abt how the demons general moshaxing was gonna be reborn, & how the war god was also gonna be reborn at the same time.

And not in a shipping sense but yx contacted hs first out of all his old friends, not considering smc coz she’s a special case. A win for me! What I want to know is this, is all-ye canon? Not necessarily in the romantic sense, but yx is shown to be this bright light that his fellow pros can’t help but circle around. Yx’s impact on he is obvious. What abt the others? It is to be seen...

I’m on chapter 125 rn. Wang Jiexi has just entered. But first, I need to talk abt Huang Shaotian & how much I adore him. He’s just so loveable. I want to pat him on his head. I also love his interactions with Ye Xiu. In the drama, after he helps with breaking the boneyard record, there’s a flashback from when he was a trainee & ye xiu his trainer & that just made me soft.

I’m on chapter 101 but I’ve only read 5% of this. It’s just so long.

So, the tone of the novel is so different compared to the drama. It’s more lighthearted & fun than the emotional tone that the drama took.

I’m really enjoying myself but since it’s so long & it’ll take me days to finish it even if I just read only tka, I’m going at a slow pace.

Tbh, love & redemption was a great show. It there I have so many unanswered questions & also, certain scenes felt lacking. According to my research, the book is better than the drama so I’m hoping that they can be answered.
