Very useful. Probably forgot most of the super small implementation details to be honest but I know what sections to jump to if needed

The discussion about the Judge and the Victim is what stood out to me the most. It’s a simple concept but perfectly explains cycles of anxiety and distress.

FSMs. All review from 270/370/470. Nothing new yet. Next chapter should be new stuff since it’s odometry and robotic motion.

Reactive behavior chapter. Talked about different configurations for line following, how to turn a robot (different ways of doing it) that kind of thing. Nothing super advanced yet. Next is FSMs which is review so considering skipping ahead to control or localization.

This chapter was all about sensors. It wasn’t a lot of detail on each specific sensor, but just enough to give me a better understanding of each type. There seemed to be a big emphasis on the fact that there are a lot of tradeoffs you have to make when you design a robot and decide which sensors to include. For example a wider field of view cam will have lower resolution than a cam with a smaller FOV.

So far a lot of high level review like what proximity and ground sensors are, mobile vs fixed robots, polling vs interrupts. Learned a lot of this stuff during the final 373 project, but later chapters talk about localization, DSP, neural networks. I suppose it’s just the beginning so far so isn’t very advanced yet. Definitely a good read though :) looking forward to reading the rest. Not too overwhelming
