My sister & I are watching the latest version created by Disney and enjoying it immensely. I, because they’ve done a good job with the books. She, because she’s exposed to the genius of Rick Riordan for the first time. Together, we’re having a blast with the series.

PD James creates such repugnant characters with the most beautiful words. I have abandoned several novels with unlikeable characters, but I find myself drawn back again and again to the extraordinary flow of language she employs. Admittedly, I’m always relieved when Dalgliesh arrives on the scene.

Rereading in prep for the new one. Such a great series!

Rereading with a group. I have a distinct memory of this being a corker of a read so am looking forward to refreshing the details in my mind. And all the lovely Group Read conversation. :)

Jonah Chuzzlewit and Seth Pecksniff are so completely repugnant! I’m not a fan of either Cherry or Merry, but what a despicable trick! And Daddy just goes along with it! Grrr!
