Two more stories completed. These go down easy. I really like the way she writes.

I’m through the first two stories and am glad I waited to read both before commenting. They are both quite excellent in their depiction of quiet desperation, and also the sweetness that can live along side it.

I struggled a bit with the first few chapters, suspecting this would be about another over-precocious, hard life fictional child. But I’m deep into the story now and cannot put it down. I’m truly invested in them all.

Duke, the talking dog, is still such a delight. :)

Damn, her books read fast! I always want them to last, because I’m enjoying myself so much. Then I’m suddenly moments from the end with no hope of slowing down.
