This book, despite its many flaws, is so playful and joyful. It should be required reading for anyone working in the creative or technology fields.

I'm just getting started here, but I appreciate the deep introspection into the problems of the internet. It is quite dated, but I love the ideas that seem to persist all the way to today. Ultimately, we need to decide how much technology is going to be relevant for us - on an individual and societal level.

Well I have some inherently deep problems with a lot of the language used to describe non-European peoples, I really do appreciate some of these early discussions around play. There is no word for play outside of English in the same context; yet, this is a critical concept that describes our tension between serious and non-serious approaches for everything.

Of the several books on relationships I've read recently, this is my favorite.

While the book focuses on marriage and married couples, I think this applies to all relationships and many friendships.

An economic approach can be a little cold sometimes, the authors do a good job of saying, "Yeah... that's not really how the world works." It gives extremely practical advice about how to negotiate tensions practically.
