There's no way I'm going to finish this before my loan expires at the library and there's an 8 week wait to get it again. I was complaining about it to Dale... he ordered me a copy on Amazon and it's supposed to get here by Friday.

I've read in a couple of places that this series improves after the first book. I'm not very far along, but so far it seems like it might be true. Also, my library told me this was the second book, but it's the fourth. Oops!

I've read this author before and liked his work, but this one is a slog. Great if you're struggling to fall asleep though.
