I love a good romance, but I’m really struggling with this one. Even my husband’s noticed my lack of enthusiasm. It feels over‑troped, predictable, and completely unexciting. Romance needs tension — if you can see every beat coming, there’s no spark. I’m only pushing on because it’s our first book‑club read… but honestly? Meh.

Absolutely love that my seven year old comes to me and asks if we can read together. Not only that, but he can reel off the names of all the players effortlessly. I feel like I need to put him forward to learn a new language. Never too young. 🩷

We started our third book for 'book club' tonight, absolutely love this time with my little man. The different voices we use, makes us laugh. So far so good!

Have you got a nickname for your house? We do, thanks to my little one. Bear has become so invested in this book. We have a little debrief after each chapter. Bear provides me with his thoughts and feelings on the plot. I love it.

My little boy (7 years) has been chosen to be part of a book club. Fills my heart with joy. Due to my love of reading. First book on the agenda, four chapters in. Enjoying the time together. 🤍
