I didn’t plan this, I had no idea- but this book is set in Hobart, Tasmania and features many, many landmarks I know- such a treat!

So far very impressed by this writer- I’ve laughed out loud several times already. The way she writes teenage girls!

Very strong sense of place captured. An affair- tender and beautiful. This is top-shelf Australian literary fiction.

This is a skilled author! My first experience reading Nicola Cornick.

I don’t know if I can go on… I’m really disliking the main love interest in this Story, ‘Ryle’, he’s so entitled, smug and I don’t care about his muscular arms! Do I continue? Does he grow as a human ?

This book is genius. I’m so curious about where the narrative will go.

The perfect, easy, yet juicy rom com for escaping some stress at the moment. I like the Irish friend, well narrated - good accents.

When the dickhead husband said “Women are as weak as piss” I wanted to throw my phone- that I was listening to the audio book on - across the room- I was so angry at him and at men like him. I want to see this woman make a plan to leave and make a plan now! But everyone has their own time line and I might need to be patient- ahhh!

A woman’s breasts were actually referred to as ‘two firm mounds’, I will go a bit longer and see if I can continue. Apart from this description the writing is ok. I do like stories about people with mental health issues.

What a superb writer. A beautiful story so far.

Set in New Orleans at the beginning of the civil rights movement, I’m very interested in this time & place. Enjoying this greatly!

Wow, wonderful writing, I’m very engaged in this story.

This book perfectly compliments my last read- which was more about doing the inner work- this is a book on how to actually get my butt into gear and ‘do’ the work.

A simple concept, let the experiment begin. Not sure I like the suicidal cover. And hey, I do have a pretty good self esteem but there can always be more love. What I’m interested in seeing is how the universe responds to a heightened self love frequency.

Different voice, I like it. Sweet, touching story so far.

Really enjoying this, a deep dive into modern culture of the West. I think it’s an important book.

I’ve been looking forward to reading this for a long time and the story has instantly pulled me in, an entertaining and engaging read.
