and now time to read this til I fall asleep for real!!!!! I forgot how much I loved mcfarlane's books when I got back into reading.

horrible headache and hurting heart day but the combination of leaving work early, long walk, crying to mom, diet dr. pepper, and being in the middle of the "initiation in the underground forest" chapter right before bed (plus bubble bath) I think really rescued me. synchronicities abound.

this book is going to be....very important to me.....for a very long time

got a mass market copy of this forever ago and am finally cracking into it. first ephron read! slowly but surely chipping away at reading through the books I've acquired over the years. lots of 70s feminist lit ab to logged on here.

chopin's "story of an hour" is one of my all time favorite short stories n I'm absolutely looooving this

picking up a clarice lispector happens exactly when it is meant to happen u will read this when u are meant to like divine timing like a tarot spread by ur best friend like angel numbers on a strangers forearm and the clock and the odometer and the time logged on a sent message like she's looking at u (so diva) and telling u "yes ur on the right track read on read on"

who am I what have I become I crave a woman's touch I crave something poetic.....and yet ........I have a sickness,,I cannot turn away from it..... I am chained by this.....carl.................damn you .....

I'm simply reading too many books by men lately
also I do generally hate the narrative style/voice of this book but it is unfortunately intriguing enough to push through (I'm a curious gal but my patience may soon be worn thin......)

kinda right away feeling like if virgin suicides was combined with bob's burgers (i can't elaborate on this honestly) and i really like that
